Lake Erie 5/10 Report
The wind is coming out of the southwest today (May 10th)at 15-20 knots, waves should be 1-3 feet, building to 2-4 feet. The lake water dropped back to a 43 degrees overnight. A few walleye are being caught off the shore with plugs at night. It’s still early though with water temps being a little on the low side. Smallmouth fishing continues to be good in the bay and tribs, with a few steelhead still in the lower trib systems. Continue to watch the lake temp and waves and weather forecast to plan the best possible fishing time.
The lake is warming up fast and should be active this coming week.
